Hotel Packages Hotels on the Outskirts of Tortuguero There are a number of larger 'lodges' nearby (none of them could be considered large scale resort-like hotels with Air Conditioning, cable tv, etc).  Most are within a few minutes boat ride from the village of Tortuguero.  They also offer a convenient, and more expensive, way to get here.  They sell packages that typically include transportation, accommodations, and tours.
